Kristen has always been curious about people; the stories we carry, the ways we make sense of the world, and the little things that make us who we are. As a Registered Psychotherapist, mother, daughter, friend, and lifelong learner, she knows that life rarely follows a perfectly straight path. Sometimes it surprises us, sometimes it stretches us, and sometimes it asks us to begin again.

She believes there is something quietly powerful about being truly seen and having a place where you don’t have to have all the answers. Her own experience with ADHD has given her a deep appreciation for neurodivergence, while her personal and professional experiences have nurtured a compassionate understanding of the many different ways people experience life and connection.

Kristen is passionate about supporting people through trauma, grief, fertility and reproductive experiences, and relationship challenges. She works with both women and men, creating a warm and welcoming space to slow down, get curious, and gently explore the experiences and patterns that have shaped them.

Training Background

Kristen began her educational journey with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, followed by studies in Psychology at Trent University and training as a Registered Psychotherapist.

Her clinical and personal development training includes EMDR, DBT, CBT, and Gottman’s Couples Counselling, as well as ongoing training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed psychotherapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and narrative approaches. A lifelong learner at heart, Kristen continues to seek out new knowledge, perspectives, and ways of understanding the beautifully complicated business of being human.

Outside of her clinical work, Kristen is curious about the many practices and experiences that support connection, presence, and wellbeing. She has a particular interest in meditation and mindfulness, and enjoys exploring ideas through books and podcasts. When she’s not learning or reflecting, you’ll often find her running, cheering from the rink, or following hockey. These interests, along with her professional training, continue to shape her appreciation for the importance of curiosity, self-awareness, connection, and finding meaningful ways to navigate life’s challenges.
